Clinical Laboratory & Pathology

Medical technologists and medical laboratory technicians work together to analyze specimens (blood, tissue and body fluids) of the patients.

The laboratory at LRH provides in-patient and out-patient services, including screenings for local industry and processing for physicians offices and clinics. Modern equipment is used for computing and reporting results, including the Cardiac Troponin-I which is specific for detecting cardiac muscle damage.

The laboratory is accredited by the College of American Pathologists (C.A.P.) and the Joint Commission on Accreditation of Healthcare Organizations (JCAHO).
